The Minnesota Homegrown Kickoff is a three-day outdoor music and camping festival featuring regional bands performing bluegrass, old-time stringband, and related forms of acoustic music. Twenty bands are expected to perform on the main stage on May 29-31, 2015 at  El Rancho Mañana Campground & Riding Stables near Richmond, Minnesota.



Tentative main stage showtimes are 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM Friday, 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday. The list of bands for 2015 includes The Roe Family Singers, Pushing Chain, The Long Shots, The Moss Piglets, The Split-Shot Sinkers, No Grass Limit, Mother Banjo, Timbre Junction, Bob & Lynn Dixon, Singleton Street, The Sawtooth Brothers, No Man's Stringband, Pickin' Up Steam, The Froemming Family, Platte Valley Boys, The Mark Kreitzer Band, Purdy River Band, Curtis & Loretta, Crooked Grass, and Blue Groove. Bring your lawn chairs. No displays of alcohol are allowed in the concert area.

In addition to the main stage performances there will be workshops, organized jam sessions, music and craft vendors, and good food available. The Gathering Place, a large tent not far from the main stage area, serves as a welcome center for all who come to the Kickoff. Meanwhile, bluegrass and old-time musicians from across the Midwest will keep the campfires ringing with jam sessions around the clock.
