MINNESOTA HOMEGROWN KICKOFF
Friday through Sunday, May 31 - June 2, 2013
El Rancho Mañana, Richmond, MN

 

 

The Minnesota Homegrown Kickoff is a three-day outdoor music and camping festival featuring regional bands performing bluegrass, old-time stringband, and related forms of acoustic music. Twenty bands are expected to perform on the main stage on May 31-June 2, 2013 at  El Rancho Mañana Campground & Riding Stables near Richmond, Minnesota.

Tentative main stage showtimes are 6:00 PM to 11:00 PM Friday, 12:00 PM to 11:00 PM Saturday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM Sunday. A tentative schedule is now available on our Main Stage page. Look who is all going to be there: Blue Yodel #9, Marty Marrone & Tangled Roots, Copper Creek, Long Time Gone, Tucker'd out, The Eelpout Stringers, Tim & Cindy Roggenkamp, No Grass Limit, Platte Valley Boys, The Cactus Blossoms, Hey Lonesome, No Man's String Band, The John & Rose Band, The Flemming Fold, The Moss Piglets, The Stringsmiths, Alternate Route, Now And Then, PrairieGrass, and Alabaster Falls!. Bring your lawn chairs. No displays of alcohol are allowed in the concert area.

In addition to the main stage performances there will be workshops, organized jam sessions, music and craft vendors, and good food available. The Gathering Place, a large tent not far from the main stage area, serves as a welcome center for all who come to the Kickoff. Meanwhile, bluegrass and old-time musicians from across the Midwest will keep the campfires ringing with jam sessions around the clock. You are the star at Ranch House Live. Your group can fill one of the open stage times in the ranch house. We're also looking for individuals who will MC.  You'll find links to sign up through using Signup Genius on the Ranch House Live page.
