The Whistlepigs String Band

Founded in 2003, The Whistlepigs String Band have appeared at clubs, festivals & special events all across Minnesota and throughout the region, including the Minnesota State Fair, Lakes Bluegrass Festival, Oak Center General Store, and many more. Bluegrass Gospel for church services is a Specialty.

The Whistlepigs pride themselves on tight harmonies and hot instrumentals with a repertoire of traditional and progressive bluegrass, from Bill Monroe, Hank Williams, and Flatt & Scruggs, to Gillian Welch and a growing selection of band-penned tunes! Each of the four members take their turn at the single microphone singing and playing leads and breaks.

In 2004, the band issued its first CD, "Unjugged."
