Bob & Lynn Dixon

Bob & Lynn Dixon are a
husband-and-wife duo featuring tight harmony singing. They sing
songs and play tunes from the old-time tradition-Carter Family,
Delmore Brothers, Doc Watson and others-as well as new
old songs from the likes of Norman Blake, Gillian Welch, and
Tim O'Brien. Expect to hear songs about trains, cowboys, outlaws,
hard times, good times, lost love, and perhaps a Swedish fiddle
tune, a little guitar flatpicking, and some mandolin/fiddle
duos.
They are proud to have placed third
in the MBOTMA Duet Competition at the state fair in 2006 and
2007. Bob also placed first in the Senior Division in the Minnesota
Flatpicking Guitar Championship for three years running (2004-2006).
Bob & Lynn have performed at
the MBOTMA Homegrown Kickoff and other MBOTMA events, the Stone
Arch Festival of the Arts, the 2007 Bluegrass Fest at LCO Casino
in Hayward WI, and can be heard from time to time around Minneapolis
at Bill Cagley's Roots Showcase and at coffee houses and private
parties. They are also active in the contradance band Danebodium.
