FESTIVAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Did you know that the Minnesota Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Festival has over 500 volunteer slots that need filling to make this festival work? Volunteers still pay their own admission, but they get a free festival volunteer shirt (four hours minimum), meet new people, get the satisfaction for being a part of it all, and have fun too! 

 

 


 

To Sign Up: Below is a list of the things we need help with. Email Executive Director Jed Malischke and ask him to fill in your name for any of the open times below. And thank you.

CONCERT GATES: There are two entrances to our concert area. You'll be checking for wristbands and keeping out prohibited items such as alcohol and bicycles. Two or four hour shifts (take 2 two-hour shifts to make four). 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM needed most days. Couples can work together.

SITE SET-UP: Help with getting the site ready for the festival on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Help is also needed the Sunday before and especially on the Monday after (take down). Setting up parking areas with flagging, signs, and fencing. Putting up tents, tables, and chairs. Decorating and cleaning the stage and unloading equipment. Some activities require physical exertion - we recommend you bring work gloves. These slots (except Thursday afternoon) come with a $15 coupon you can use towards any early arrival camping fees with El Rancho Mañana. You'll receive one coupon for each time your name appears on the schedule by mail (you must have the coupons when you arrive to use them).
