Four days of amazing music, camp fires, jamming, kid’s activities, workshops, dances, and so much more, all in one of Minnesota’s most beautiful campground settings.
All of that is free of charge, but if you do need to pay for onsite camping or parking. Passes are sold according to the day you arrive at the Festival.
Passes are sold through our online ticketing partner, ETIX. You will be re-directed to an ETIX page to select and pay for your passes, and confirmation and other purchase informational emails will come from ETIX.
You may reserve your camping passes and sites with a free payment plan. Pay a percentage at the time of reservation, and the rest will be paid automatically by July 15. Credit card required. Details at checkout.
Prices below are for ADVANCE PURCHASE ONLY. Camping and Parking Pass prices go up once the Festival begins, and may only be purchased on site.
What is Free/What Requires Payment?
Everyone can experience August Festival with no admission fee, you only pay for camping or parking.
If you are planning to camp, whether Reserved or Unreserved Event Camping, we strongly encourage you to reserve early. Reserved Utility Camping spaces are limited. See below for options.

Attendance Options
Attendance at the Festival is free, you pay only to park if you’re attending for the day, or to camp if you’re staying overnight. Please see all options below.
Camping Options
- Each person who will be camping (reserved or unreserved rough camping) needs to have a Camping Pass for the nights they are staying overnight.
- Purchase your camping passes according to the day you will ARRIVE at the Festival.
- A Camping Pass gives you permission to choose any unoccupied site in the Unreserved Camping Area. Please see THIS PAGE for a site map and description of the campground.
- Unreserved (Rough) camping does not have Utility hookups. Generators may be used at designated times, and there are designated “quiet” areas available.
* Camping reservations purchased from MBOTMA are for Thursday, Friday and Saturday NIGHTS ONLY. If you arrive at the Festival Grounds before Thursday, you will need to pay MBOTMA for the Thursday-Sunday camping, and pay El Rancho Mañana for any nights before or after those days. Any such reservations must be made directly through the campground at 320-597-2740
Reserved Camping Options
These prices are IN ADDITION to the Per Person Camping Passes, and can be reserved only when purchasing Camping Passes.
Reserved Tent Camping (price per site): $120
Reserved Tent Camping spaces are located in the same area as the Utility Camping sites. Electricity is NOT guaranteed in a Reserved TENT site. You must provide your own extension cord to access power (100 ft, 15 amp rating recommended)
Reserved Utility Camping (price per site): $150
Day Attendance Options
Patrons attending for one day, or staying off-site, may pay to park in the Day Parking area of the Festival Grounds. Shuttles will bring you from Day Parking to the main Festival grounds.
