Unreserved Event Camping Areas (shaded with red grid)
There are many different “neighborhoods” within the Unreserved Event Camping area, each with its own vibe. None of the sites can be reserved, but attendees often return to the same sites year after year. Newcomers always welcome!
There are plenty of water stations and port-a-potties in each of the many camping areas.
A few of the “neighborhoods” include:
- Rev’s Run: Broad, open field perfect for larger RVs and campers. Generators ok during certain hours
- Triple Crown: Home to “Kelley’s Korner,” hosted by nonagenarian Wil Kelley. Jammers Welcome all hours of the day and night. Generators ok during certain hours
- Sherwood Forest: Minnesota’s Old-Time Music community has made this area their home. There’s always great music, great food, and a lively scene. Mostly tent camping & small campers.
- Rocky Top, Rainy’s Ridge, High Lonesome & Double Down: Great for tent camping, campers & smaller RVs. These areas are quiet, cozy, shady areas with lots of small fireside jams
- Old Wash Machine Field (or just Old Wash): Named for the literal old washing machine someone found when the site was originally being cleared, if you love hanging out and playing music all day and all night, this is the spot for you! Campers, tents, RVs are all welcome. There are often a number of communal canopies where you can share in a pot-luck feast, and get to know new friends. This is a No Generator area.
